8th Expert Meeting HCV

The hepatitis C virus still represents the main cause of chronic liver disease in our country. In this rapidly changing eld, more and more drugs o er interesting treatment perspectives.

However, pros and cons of treatment of patients with advanced disease and tumor recurrence should be discussed, based on cost analysis and strong clinical evidence.

In Italy, till now, only patients with advanced brosis and cirrhosis have been treated and reimbursed; however new criteria have been recently approved. New treatment schedules and drugs, and new molecules in di erent clinical settings require a speci c discussion. Moreover, other liver diseases, i.e. NASH, are becoming more and more prevalent and require proper attention.

The Meeting is targeted to specialists in Internal Medicine, Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Infectious Diseases, aiming to provide them with the opportunity to interact with the Experts and discuss all the clinical issues of chronic hepatitis C and its complications.
